Our Baby Room caters for children aged 6 months to 2 years, providing care 50 weeks a year from 8am to 6pm. Our facilities include a main indoor space for play and learning, a covered outside area, separate sleeping room, and a bathroom with nappy changing facilities. Our Baby Room is situated upstairs in the Day Care building. It has it’s own entrance and garden with a small covered area. The main area is an open space, with a separate sleeping room, and a bathroom with nappy changing facilities.
The setting is open five days a week from 8am to 6pm during 50 weeks a year, closing for two weeks during the Christmas holidays and on bank holidays.
The majority of our staff are qualified to NVQ level 3 or above with one staff member currently working towards level 2.
Staff are kind, caring & always available for the children.
Staffing ratios are closely monitored within our setting and Justine our manager is available to be called on if required, this ensures the best level of care for your child. Legislative requirements for levels of care are: 1 member of staff for every three children in the baby room.
Each child that joins the nursery will have their own specific key person, this is a trained member of staff that will care for and nurture your child, supporting their development through planning exciting and stimulating activities and experiences.
Each child’s development will be recorded in a ‘Learning Journey’, which you will be able to view at any time. This provides a lovely record of their time at nursery.
Our daily routine is set around the needs of the children attending on that day. At the home visit before your child starts we will discuss your child’s specific routine and needs, and then try to mirror this within the setting, to ensure continuity of care.
The key person will be in daily communication with you, with regard to any changes to your child’s routine or care needs.
Throughout the session your child will have the opportunity to play and explore. A snack will be provided mid-morning and mid-afternoon, nappy changes, bottles and sleeps as required.
We also like to take the children out exploring the local environment either in buggies, or in our little wagon.
We can provide breakfast and afternoon tea for those children that are attending the early or late sessions. Breakfast will be included in the morning session price, and tea will be charged at £1.
If your child has any additional dietary requirements then we are able to accommodate these.
Admission is on a first come first served basis.
If you decide to place your child with Kiddies Corner you will be required to complete a registration form and parental contract for your child & pay a registration fee of £30 to secure your child’s place (non-refundable) & contribute towards administration costs.
The registration form consists of information such as personal details, emergency contact numbers, medical history etc this information is held in the setting and also on an online secure database. Should you need any assistance answering or completing the form please feel free to ask a member of staff.
We accept payments under the tax free childcare scheme.
We offer each family a home visit before your child starts to give your child a chance to meet their key person in familiar surroundings, and a chance for parents to go through some paper work and informal chat. Parents are also invited along to settling in sessions before starting.

A monthly quality supplement of £18 per month will be charged to cover the cost of sun cream, drinks, snacks, wipes & nappy sacks etc. Your child will be provided with one T shirt, you may purchase additional items if you wish.
Invoices will be sent by email at the beginning of each month and must be paid by the 5th of the same month. If any money is outstanding after the 5th of the month, then a charge of 5% of the amount outstanding will be added to the account.
All nursery fees will be reviewed and increased in line with our local competitors annually in January.
One terms notice is to be given to change session times or to withdraw your child from the setting, (or one terms fees in lieu of notice). Any requests for changes should be made in writing.
